Hey! I go by Rae and I figured I'd make a welcome post (partly because I'm a tad out of sorts here). I rejoined Realm Reborn less than a month ago after previously only playing the original edition a few years back. I also do some roleplay on tumblr, but I wasn't aware that this game had a pretty sizable RP community as well! I don't see many people on the sever my main is on (Exodus), but I want to try and make a character on either Gilgamesh or Balmung to accompany one of my blogs. (If you recognize the character in my icon, you'll know who it is.) I've heard those are pretty much the only servers anyone really RPs on so I'm shooting for one of them when they open.

If anyone has some advice they'd like to share, please! I'm all ears!

Edit: I was finally able to get in on Gilgamesh!! Do welcome Jouta Kujo to the fold!

Welcome! In my experience, Balmung is far easier to find RP on than Gilgamesh. However, I wish you luck! :3

If you are wondering if an $18 transfer is worth it, in my opinion, it definitely was. I almost find RP everywhere. :3

I've considered it. From what I've been told, it's almost impossible to get on Balmung unless it's right after a maintaince which doesn't seem to be happening for a while....

I've been in that boat, though transferring for $18 overrides the population lock. Its inconvienient if you want to have alts though. I mainly play one character. XD

Keep in mind that transfers are currently unavailable till the 20th of this month, if I remember correctly.

Welcome to Gilgamesh! Â Let's get you plugged in.

Gilgamesh people don't tend to hang out on the RPC anymore. Â However, the RPers are definitely around. Â There's a website atÂ http://gilgamesh-rp.com/forumÂ that you can use to hail in and get connected. Â If not, you definitely want to keep an eye out for the community. Â Generally speaking there are a bunch of us in town checking things, but few of us hang out there.

Definitely keep an eye out for me (name of Orleans Ignacius) as well as a couple other community leaders. Â I especially recommend getting in touch with Adolar Stone,Â K'lyhia Khai, and get in touch with the Adventurer's Guild linkshell. Â Huge chunks of the housing wards are RP-owned, but the best way to get involved in the local community is to just look out for the RP. Â I run a lot in the open world, even if it's not in the cities. Â Good places to find that would be Limsa Lominsa and the Gold Saucer.

Feel free to add me! Â As far as I know, I'll be on sometime after 6-7pm EST, so all you have to do is add Orleans Ignacius and I'll get you plugged in.
