The book itself is worn, pressed parchment of yellowing papyrus bound in the tanned leather of some unidentifiable beast. It rests atop a larger book of similar make, though such is not to be spoken of now. Kept closed with the aid of flaxen-hued twine, contents scribed in old-fashioned ink and quill remain hidden from the world beyond. The text itself is written with sloppy elegance, each word a cursive dance upon the page and yet letters appear underformed and askew at times; unperfected.
