Hi,

My name is James. I am a long time MMO RPer, and new to FFXIV (and Final Fantasy in general, to be honest.)

I am looking to get into the RP scene here and wondering what server I should go to. I noticed there is a lot of RP on Balmung and and Gilgamesh (?) but can't create characters there. I am currently on Faerie, but willing to re-roll elsewhere if there is an activity community on a less populated server.

RP is plentiful on Balmung from my point of view - However the only way to get in these days is to pay for a transfer. The good thing about that is that you can take up to 8 characters along on the same transfer as long as they all go out from the same server. But it does suck a bit if you're wanting to see what it's like first.

I have also heard the Jenova has a small rp scene from posts in the forums. But I will agree with Nai that the 18 dollars is worth the transfer to Balmung.
