So it's come to my attention that there are several Monster Hunter fans on this forum. I realize that most of the art in this forum is FFXIV fanart, but I'd like to offer this opportunity to anyone who really loves Monster Hunter.Â

I really like making Monster Hunter style icons. If you give me your character name and some info about said character I will craft you a personalized MH style monster icon. (Or item icon if you prefer.)

I am a huge Monster Hunter fan, and I love this idea.Â I love the Monster Hunter style icons in the games.Â

Manari Onai, is my character name.Â

Manari was born and raised deep in the Twelveswood in a tribe of Miqo'te Keepers of the Moon.Â She excels at archery, using an axe, and two daggers.Â She has very light blonde hair, pale white skin, is short and cute and sweet.Â Also naive.Â Anything you want to know about manari, feel free to ask.Â She's a sweetheart, but she'll also break your heart, too.

Interesting and completely true story I just wanted to add here since this IS Monster Hunter we are talking about.Â Manari's back story was completely influenced by Monster Hunter because when I started RPing back in Jan 2011, I was heavily into my import copy of Monster Hunter Portable 3rd.Â Her tribe was almost completely wiped out by drakes, the closest thing FFXIV had to Monster Hunter-like monsters.Â I've added and tweaked her story a lot since then, but that's where it all started.

You have no idea how big of a monster hunter fan I am. Going on 9 years of hunting now, the reason I've bought a PSP, Wii, and soon to be Wii U. Monster Hunter is pretty much my favorite gaming franchise, certainly the one I've invested the most time into and spent the most money on I think haha.

So I'd certainly be interested in having a MH icon created.

Gaaah I can't wait for Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate / Monster Hunter 4!!! >< Also, hello! Glad to see some Monster Hunter fans! I'll be getting my games for the 3DS. Also, if you were interested in drawing my character I'silwen Telemnar with dual blades as an icon(if that would fit?) that would be epic! Hopefully once Monster Hunter 4 comes out and has online capability for 3DS some of us can play together possibly? ^^

So, I'm not going to get much work on these done today due to moving and the superbowl, but I did some sketches last night and will work on this tomorrow.Â

I can't wait until MH4 comes out. The lack of online in the MH3U for 3DS is baffling. That said, I'll still be playing the hell out of it on WiiU (which I'll be buying just for this game) and 3DS.

Yeah I am super sadface about MH3U not having online capability for 3DS, but oh well. I can wait until MH4, either way it's still going to be so much fun. Enjoy the superbowl!

I got a WiiU for Christmas just to play MH3U online. Â I'm beyond excited for it and I'm happy to see such a following for the game here at the RPC! Â Anyone with the WiiU version should all get together and hunt! Â I can't wait to play it. Â

Oh, did you need any more info on Manari for the MH icon?

I have MH3U on preorder and can hardly wait. I have an image of Nel from MH3 around somewhere. I'll add to this post once I find it. She's a bit rough around the edges but she's Talented with a Shocklance and Longsword. Usually trying to draw monster's attention away from her friends.

Well darn, I just double checked and I don't have the image. I could always retake. But anywho, she has short shoulder length red hair with violet eyes and a scar horizontal under her left eye. She's always wearing earrings too instead of a helm even though she typically wears Jhen Morhan set or Rathalos set.
