I wanted to share some of the changes we make when our community gives us feedback. Its important for us to listen to the feedback, talk among our officers and try to deliver as best as we can the needs and wants of our members. We believe a Community is as strong as the members themselves. A community can only exist because of the members, and the officers and leaders just keep it on track and in order.
Minor Adjustments
♫ Recruit Promotions have been Slow. ► We appologize for this, the Recruit phase is only meant to last at max 2 weeks. Once those two weeks pass you should be promoted to Squire (Full Member).
♫ All New Characters started with 100hp ► That Is Being Adjusted to 200hp
♫ Squires would have to trudge through the Levels ► Once Promoted to Squire they'll be Bumped to Level 4. Those Already Level 4 will gain a surplus of Experience that will equal a Level.
♫ Knights would have to trudge through the Levels ► Once promoted to Knight, New Knights will be Bumped up to Level 7. If they Exceed Level 7, They will gain XP equally a Level.
♫ High Knights would have to trudge through the Levels ► Once promoted to High Knight, New High Knights will be Bumped up to Level 10. If they Exceed Level 10, They will gain XP equally a Level.
♫ Old Rank Structure: Recruit, Squire, Knight, High Knight, Knight Commander, Free Company Leader ► We will be adding a Rank between Knight Commander and Free Company Leader to put some distinction in place for the Coleader rank, while giving room for others to continue to grow.
Major Adjustments
♫ Level 1 - 10 had, No Special Contributions given to them from the Specialty Tree's. ► We will be adding Level 1 - 10 tree's, that will give lower level characters a much better chance at survival as well as let 'established' characters not feel terribly weak when joining us. We still believe that the leveling is required to keep everyone balanced and going through the same steps but with the addition of added HP and now the changes to the Specialty Trees, that shouldn't be an issue. Plus the Promotion Perks for gaining levels and what not. These level 1 - 10 additions will be passive, so please ignore what may already have been placed up. We still want people to be creative, have freedom to emote and such so they'll be more perk driven based on your 'class' though the class only defines you for the sake of mechanics.
♫ Character History for some Felt Ignored due to the low level stats ► With the changes being made we will revisit this issue and see if that's still the case. As of now there seems to be a split on this issue so we are hoping to strike a balanced chord between Old and New Members Here with the above changes that are being done. Unfortunately there is a give and take when your joining a new group and we are doing our best to give but we also require a little in return.
♫ Level Cap was not In place. ► Before anyone hits Level 20, we are for now putting a soft cap in place to say that level 20 will be the maximum rank at this time a member can reach. Once they hit Level 20 they will unlock a subclass.
♫ Sub Classes & Character Sheet Changes ► These will be explained in greater depth when we get our first level 18. Though for a quick reference, Sub Classes will need to be leveled up from level 1. As you level your sub class your main class will always be half your sub classes level, though when you switch back to your main class your subclass will be capped at half your main classes level. So if your a lv 20 Warrior with a Subclass of a Thief (Level 12), you would only get the benefits of a level 10 thief on your Level 20 Warrior. Lets say thats reverse, if you are on your thief that night, its Level 12 but your main is level 20, your main while equipped as your subclass would only be lv 6. The Character sheet will be redone in a simplistic manner to make this very easy to understand. Just know that this is to still reward those with max level characters.
♫ Merit System ► This is a new addition that is being led by Bard. We discussed adding in incentives beyond just Experience Points for the end of each book. These Incentives will come in the form of an Award Ceremony along with any potential promotions at the time. These awards will offer perks to your sheet (In a Minor Way) and let us acknowledge New and Old Members on Equal Footing. A great way for us to say,
