The Dragon's Crown, a prominent tavern in the Black Shroud, is known to adventurers and mercenaries alike. When the charming staff or enrapturing dancers fail to bring patrons back, the Crown's famous Honeyed Fire whiskey and a hot meal does just the trick. Not only a tavern, the Dragonâ€™s Crown is also home to the Black Crown mercenaries, whose heroic deeds have earned the recognition of the Eorzean Alliance. The establishment operates under Aelorelle Vallancourt who allows the Black Crown mercenaries to use the Dragonâ€™s Crown as their base of operations. Along with Alrik Dotharl (the leader of the Black Crown mercenaries), the two have created a unique and successful business within the forests of the Shroud. Whether a chef or a spice trader, a sellsword or an adventurer, the Dragon's Crown welcomes everyone with doors wide open.

While recruitment en masse is closed, we're still taking exceptional writers and roleplayers for consideration.

Our most recent RP event was the first installment of the episodic adventure module titled, "Whorleater's Rancor." The Black Crown mercenaries bravely explored the depths of Gnals Cove in La Noscea. After delving deep into its caverns and nearly drowning to death with the return of the tides, the Black Crown mercenaries found a peculiar sect of Sahagin that had been capturing Yellowjackets meant to serve as willing servants in their bid to further their goal in summoning some strange aetherical creature. After demolishing the mountainous, titanic being the Black Crowns gathered their wounded and what Yellowjackets they could save before returning to The Dragon's Crown in The Shroud.

What mysteries does La Noscea further hold for the Black Crown mercenaries in the next installment of, "Whorleater's Rancor?"

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Competent roleplayers. We define "competent" as being able to abide by the line distinguishing IC from OOC, writing with the best grammar of their ability, and someone who understands what playing a character working in a tavern requires.
Characters that can socialize! Or put up the facade of socializing. Fake it 'til you make it, right? Point is, people appreciate staff they can chat with and not feel turned away from. If your character is more the reclusive type that speaks maybe one or two words, this is not the position for them.
