Hello! I am a new player to FFXIV and I just joined my first server. Currently I am looking to meet some new people. I would really like to find an RP guild that is open to new people, especially if they are okay LGBT members . I am on Coeurl server atm, but I may switch if I need to, the other servers were all full when I was making my character. I would appreciate any advice or suggestions for guild to join! A sweet, bubbly, and highly eccentric Xaela who's naïve about much of society and the world around her, Khula is always eager to approach others and make new friends! At times she may come across as an energetic puppy in a Xaela's body rather than a civilized person. Khula is loyal and trusting to a fault, something that combines terribly with her naivety and makes it relatively easy for her to be taken advantage of, or to inadvertently get herself into trouble. This Ejinn has received training in Ninjutsu, and has been told that serving someone as a retainer is the best way to improve herself as a ninja. She may not know any Eastern royalty to serve, but she's always eager to work as one for whoever may want it! Those who befriend Khula can expect to be excitedly showered with mediocre gifts that she thinks are amazing. A still-twitching bird dropped in their lap to eat, a particularly smooth rock that reminded her of them, a flower she found on the road, etcetera. Much of her time spent living an almost feral lifestyle has warped her perceptions to a degree, even if she tries her best to make her friends happy! Hooks: If your character is seeking a personal retainer, Khula will happily take that role. She'll probably ask for food or headpats rather than money. This can be menial work too. Anything as simple as cleaning their apartment and selling off their junk, to serious tasks such as bodyguarding, serving as security, slitting throats, information gathering, and retrieving dangerous items, If your character is seeking someone to teach them knife-fighting, stealth, ninjutsu, etc, Khula can help. If your character spends any amount of time out in the wilderness, they may run into Khula that way. If none of the above apply to you, that's okay! My timezone is EST, though I'm very flexible in terms of what times I can RP at, so if our timezones are dramatically different, it should be okay. I do have a VERY strong preference for in-game RP. I can do discord on rare occasion if something really needs to happen there, but for the most part my immersion and enjoyment is dramatically less there, so I find I don't really jive well with people who can't do in-game RP for whatever reason. With the support of various benefactors, the pair have gone from the clothes on their back to being the Matrons of a Refuge known as "Faewood." Botanist, aetheric expert, and huntress, the smaller of the two leaders actively searches the wilds and ruins, though she tells only a select few her motives. The feminine alpha Keeper seeks old secrets, new lands, and people to share the adventure with. Hooks More hooks, rumors, and story starters on her carrd (link below) The Seeker: If your character often spends time in the wilds, they may have seen her exploring caves and forests in search of regents and clues to old stories. The Shroud: Lives in Lavender Beds, 14th ward, plot 10 with a Duskwight. Wanders the Shroud and visits the Gridanian market once a week for basic supplies like paper and ink. Those who have lived in the Shroud would likely have traded with her clan on occasion. They have a reputation for poaching and traveling to various places that the twin adders attempt to bar from outsiders. The clan also engages in trade with some of the remaining Duskwight pockets when they venture to the surface. Assuming the clan is not in the deep shroud during those excursions. Works in Faewood Refuge La Nosca: Limsa: Sometimes wanders markets and seen delivering reagents to the Guilds. Particularly the culinarians guild. Can be seen wandering wilds now and then Does work for a lalafel that keeps an adventurer's market in the Mists Thanalan: Sometimes seen near the Blue mages guild, though she does not seem to actively participate yet. Sometimes delivers reagents to local guilds. Faewood temporary shelter and a second home located in Goblet, to allow them closer access to work and aiding those found in Goblet. Overseas: Occasionally seen around Shirogane and Kugane, or the surrounding areas. Most often in search of myths, information, or reagents. Assistant: Most of her reagent deliveries in Eorzia and the East are on behest of an Eirene Charbonneau, a lelesha Lesha, or on behalf of the Refuge. It can sometimes be apparent that she is nervous that someone is looking for her or following her. In these moments is when she usually disappears into the shroud for long periods of time. Though she will never hint as to why or who it could be. She is very passionate about tea and making her own tea. She plans to open a tea lounge as part of her company's bar service. Seemingly to calm her nerves she's taken on doodling. If relaxing somewhere, or trying to relax, she will take out a book of parchment for sketches. Brief Background (more in-depth background stories and outlines are planned to eventually be on tumblr!) Growing up in a small town on the outskirts of Gridania, Bentbranch, Naivah was poised to eventually take over her parents Botanist shop. On the side she studied healing and would sneak off to try to learn whatever she could from the conjurors in Gridania even though she knew her parents wouldn't approve of her eventually joining them. Before she could finish her training, her eldest sister was found murdered just outside the gates of Dragonhead in Coethas. After learning of her sisters death, against the protests of her parents, Naivah traveled to Ishgard to investigate. Through the few connections she was able to find of her sisters, she was able to get hired as an archivist for the Dzemael house where she worked as a Librarian and researcher. While trying to find information about what lead up to her sisters death she briefly joined a knight order she suspected to have ties to the group that ordered the murder of her sister. Fallout from the order made her a target, as well as the rumors of getting close to a Dzemael dragoon caused Naivah to flee Ishgard back to the shroud. While hiding from being hunted down by the Knight Order, Naivah joined the Gridania Sentries to train so she could take on being a Ranger of the shroud choosing the deep forest region as a place to hide till she figured it was safe. As she got comfortable that perhaps things blew over, Naivah turned more to wandering. Traveling around to Taverns, Bars and Different venues as a way to wind down from her work in the Shroud. She rarely offers her services as a healer anymore, though she will if she finds travelers or anyone that needs a healer in her travels. RP info: Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): It really depends on the RP. I would say on average I'm usually always Medium RP, Paragraphs ( in-game standards ). I do prefer if things are going to be heavy rp taking it outside of game in some way ( my pref. is usually email, or tumblr ect. ) at events or venues I keep it light to medium depending on the business. Views on RP combat and injuries: Combat usually agree'd upon beforehand but I am not opposed to it nor am I against things getting kind of rough! I play a light healer so I tend to expect injuries of some sort. Views on IC romance: I don't actively look for romance and definitely prefer for it to be organic. I am not against it, but I'm open to purely platonic relationships and normally this is what I lean towards. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): I'm open to all non-romatic relationships and rp, whether it be a family tie, rivals, coworkers, what have you! Views on lore: I try to stay loosely on lore but I am not strict about it, even with Nai I am not super strict with her and tend to sort of make up my own things to fill in gaps either in my own knowledge of the lore or lore that might be missing in game. I play the game on PS, and my keyboards keep on self-destructing, so in-game RP never seemed sensible choice for me as additionally when thinking with my feet I just have two left feet. I have roleplayed on Skype and Discord for the last 10 years, loving it, and I would just love to do something interactive and roleplaylike with my FFXIV characters on my current main RP platform in Discord. ...So, plsplspls god, if this is something you are looking for too, let's say hi to each other, omg I am starving... This will get wordy, not because I'd be always irritatingly wordy but because I do want to reveal my full hand and most of my quirks as roleplayer, which may or may not become topical. I. I am not interested punishing mine or anyone's characters with little rhyme or reason to it. But well set fight scene, or daring duel, or chase out of danger's way? Well, don't leave me out. And do not let my characters get out without little scars onto their skin or mind, or both. I'm not afraid to leave my characters lose, a lot. But I promise that they'll put on losing fight with gusto. Views on IC romance: I approve; the sugar of romance compliments the salt of the danger and anxiety very nicely. My characters have no set strict orientation. When it comes to RP I think the chemistry and compatibility between personalities is more important than if they are guys or girls or both or neither. Love is love. I think plotting romantic tension, if that is something both parties want, is fun way to lay some groundwork for the upcoming RP even before the writing begins. I write ERP too, but not as stand-alone self-satisfactory titillation + it is not any way something I must have. Fade-to-black and sexlessness is equally good route. If all that is there, it's gotta be part of the story; like with aggression and violence in RP, I do not much like erotica and sensuality just randomly be there for the sake of it itself. I am hopeless fujoshi, so there is that, I guess But none of my guy characters are exclusively gay, as stated. In such pairing they might have top tendency, or faux sore loser tendency. And most importantly; ladies are welcomed and embraced in this romance scenario business, equally! Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): I approve; familial relationships, antagonistic relationships, uncertain connections - potential is right there and it is awesome. I am staunchly pro-plotting as I do not think it takes anything away from the writing itself. And when I talk about plotting I mean some general "but then happened or might happen!" flavored guidelines. If it cannot be bend or break if something better comes by, it was likely not very fun plot to begin with. I am interested in miqo'tes and au ras being, well, miqo'tes and au ras together. So any culturally/behaviorally cat people things for Jitah'li and any xaela centric socialization for Ika are shamelessly sought out by me, but naturally those are not only kind of encounters I wish for, because the characters itself are not that weirdly insular/in-group focused. Hello everyone! I'm Lolaf, no main character as of yet since I'm still pretty new to the game. I've been roleplaying in some way or another for nearly 2 decades now, including other MMOs so I'm more or less familiar with the format. I'm still learning the lore and feeling my way around the game and what I want to play but I'd love to start making connections or poking about FCs and formulating some ideas so figured I'd introduce myself.
