He's half Mastiff and half Shiba Inu mix. Gifted from Caircath's own puppy brood! She's got a thing for hot-tubs She seems to have an oddly vast amount of Gil laying around. She's fairly well known within the Golden Saucer, as it might come to no one's surprise her favorite game there is the claw machine She has a large plushie collection within her home. She's rumored to have moved to Shirogane, though spends plenty of time in the Quicksand still meeting new people! Description Astrid is a slender, slip of a Hyur; a sunbeam frozen midday, she has a surprising radiance, though suitably hyperthermic traits still showed in her pale tone. Sun-kissed and immortally smooth, edging an almost unblemished and pure from the coruscating. Her hair freely-swaying waves of ginger, woven and braided together and up over the top of her head. The rest of her hair, covering her neck and framing the youthful Hyur's face, and down her forehead to the dusting of ebony lashes at her eyes. Eyes so similarly touched in muted brook-blue gaze outward, half-lidded, and aloof; necessary in such learned ruse to tame the teeming, wild gleams of youth. Her smiles sway from tawdry to terse, and her mirthless witticisms and deceptive indecision to cordial commentary suggest that occasional broad, impish grin was far more fitting a tell for her exact preference in comity, which worked poorly to allay the effects of sleepless evenings as she's so used too. Indeed, her most prized possessions are her equipment. Her gunblade Heartseeker and her armor Dawnguard. Heartseeker was a gift by a Miqo'te she unknowingly assisted during an inner struggle. Battling depression and self-doubt. Astrid stumbled upon him amidst the Starlight Festival. She made it her mission to pass out gifts to people she discovered alone and lingering against the wall. She just so happened to of gifted him one of these stuffed animals, in return, months later he gifted her Heartseeker. A simple, yet elegantly crafted gunblade. The weapon itself is maintained every chance Astrid can get, thoroughly oiling, dismantling, and cleaning every switch and lever she can access. Dawnguard, the Warrior's alabaster armor had recently received an upgrade. It's plate reworked and beaten down to better fit the Hyur. It now fits perfectly, as armor should. It's still lined with gold trim, though has more segmentation to allow greater mobility and added protection to the scrawny girl hidden within. The inner under-leather had been fully replaced, a bit more padding added to the cuirass, new belts and buckles had been added to the breastplate's sides along with the gauntlets and leggings. Just as with Heartseeker. Astrid conducts regular upkeep on her armor, making sure it's in tip-top shape and always ready at a moment's notice. Background Astrid was orphaned at an incredibly young age. Dropped off at the Orphanage in Limsa Lominsa at around the age of one. She knows next to nothing about her family or even her heritage other than her surname as it was inscribed on a small necklace she had on when placed before the doorstep. Around the age of ten, Astrid decided it was time to leave the Orphanage. She ran off into the city, never to be seen by her caretakers again. The Girl ended up mostly raising herself, with the assistance of strangers she met throughout her journey. She eventually learned how to hunt, and found she had a knack for singing and playing the lute. She cashed in on her skills, earning herself enough Gil for her day to day requirements. Over a year ago now Astrid enlisted in the Ashen Oathsworn, a group of mercenaries who seek to make Eorzea a better place. She's found a home with them. Many of whom she considers family and would do anything for them. She's grown, her energy channeled into a productive force to be reckoned with. Now dubbed a Justicar for the Oathsworn Astrid's made it her own personal mission to see to the mental health of the people within the Oathsworn. It's a difficult job, but she believes her positive attitude, optimistic outlook, and her ability to sit (not still) besides those she cares about and let them talk will prove invaluable for helping those struggling to pull themselves out of despair. Astrid more recently had begun uncovering her own family heritage. She knows whatever she uncovers doesn't define who she is as a person, but she's curious, and slowly she's begun unearthing information about her family. She's learned her actual surname is Wolfe, and her parents hail from Ishgard. Her mother a Noblewoman, while her Father was a House Guard. Their union a secret, and shunned by her Mother's house. Astrid sought to meet some of her family, though was attacked by her own Grandmother. Seemingly the only relative she's currently aware of. Amidst one of her trips to Ishgard, she stumbled across her source of Aether, allowing the Hyur to now use magic to the fullest extent. Untrained, and unfocused, the girl's wild magic is like a ticking time bomb. Sooner or later, the wrong person is going to get burnt.

A Feast Reborn - A Festival for all things Food! Abbiocco Fine Dining opened its doors on October 20, 2020, and is quickly coming up on its first anniversary! Rather than have a self-centered birthday party, the restaurant owners decided to organize a street faire in the Goblet's Sultana Subdivision, taking over a street with booths hosting some of the best restaurant and food vendors in Eorzea - and beyond! tl;dr - Addled Viera amnesiac with a magic (and very angry) book. carrd - https://tiltingwindmill.carrd.co/ Timezone: UTC+1 Every now and then the occasional juicy morsel of gossip brings to light the continuing adventures of a dishevelled, clumsy Viera scuttling, shuffling and spinning her way through the settlements of Eorzea. A few further elaborate on the woman’s chronic forgetfulness, tattered red dress, quizzical nature and apparent fondness for games. Intermingled, several dubious and most often inebriated individuals swear to have overheard cursing, hissing and angry tirades from an old tome of all things. Hooks Wandering amnesiac - The vacuous Viera appears to have forgotten most of her own past and enjoys travelling Eorzea seeking new experiences, places and people to fill in the blanks. Not only to regain understanding but to find and piece together her old memories, mind jogged by familiar sensations. Largely rather rattled, the Viera proves frequently forgetful and prone to getting lost. Affably inquisitive - The impressionable Viera has an insatiable hunger for learning, quizzical by nature, eager to question and comprehend people and make friends and acquaintances where she can. Usual haunts - Fond of games of chance, dexterity and wit (though largely abysmal at all three) the clumsy Viera often finds herself drawn to the taverns and inns where she can indulge in or observe these. Libraries, bookshops, reading rooms and other places where tomes are in abundance similarly fascinate the Viera. Flower shops, gardens and other places with an abundance of flora and fauna similarly appear to bring her great joy. Not infrequently found on her way from one of the above in search of the next. A need for coin - The impoverished Viera rarely appears to have much in the way of abundance when it comes to gil. Though not the most immediately employable sort, she occasionally regains enough lucidity to look for methods to acquire those shiny, shiny coins. After all, the books she craves are rarely free! An inconspicuous-looking journal - Bound shut with a leather belt, a worn old journal accompanies the shuffling Viera wherever she goes. On occasion seen twitching of its own accord and on rarer occasions still, the tome can be overheard squawking all manner of insults and angrily flapping its yellowing pages. Those with the ability to sense or see aether may be able to spot that the book practically hums with magic. What I can offer: A 21+ player enthusiastic about roleplay, character development, interesting stories and plots with a willingness to improve/grow. Versatility - I enjoy light-hearted and more serious roleplay and all manner of character relationships - friends, rivals, enemies, associates ect ect. IC conflict and struggle are as much the spice that keeps the metaphorical RP soup tasty as the good times are! I enjoy one-on-one roleplay and group roleplay both! Activity - I'm quite active online and play FFXIV frequently and my hunger for roleplay is such that most days I feel up to it. Communication - I am a relatively shy person OOCly, but I enjoy talking about and discussing rp and brainstorming, it can be a lot of fun! Also, a healer deserves the chance to truly develop their way of healing and interaction as well, making it three word heals is a disservice to all involved but especially for the healer. Hey all, as the description might suggest i'm new to the community and planning to start my ffxiv roleplaying career on Mateus. I'm new to the community, been playing ffxiv for a couple months on Goblin. I love my Goblin family but it's definitely not an rp server. Instead of moving my main to Mateus, ive decided ill start a new character with lv60/msq combo. (I hope that's not frowned on?) Im fairly comfy with the lore and although i have some preference toward classes and the like, i was hoping to find a friend / partner / FC to kind of help me get my foot in.
