♦ I am an older gamer (40+) who is looking for other sensible adult gamers aged 21 and up for roleplay and PVE shenanigans. No offense to the younger crowd, I just like to surround myself with like-minded folks at a similar stage of life that understand that Real Life, Responsibility, and Family come first. I have a lot of things IRL that require my time and attention outside of gaming, so I can't always be here as much as I'd like. ♦ I have a long history with long-format roleplay via forums, which means that I love to write in-depth scenes and experiences. I say this only as a reassurance that I'm in this for the Long Haul and that I want my character to be part of deep, moving experiences that span weeks, months, even years with the right writing partners. Preferences Boundaries ♦ Late Night Players I have Daytime 8-5 folks aplenty, what I'm really looking for these days are fellow late-nighters/overnight folk to while away the hours with after midnight. ♦ In-Game Roleplay & Say/Emote While I'm skilled in many different formats of RP, my preferred medium is FFXIV itself. Discord and other formats will only be considered after established rapport and dedication. When in-game, I prefer to roleplay in the public /say and /emote channels to provide others the opportunity to interact and engage. ♦ Long-form RP & English Fluency I prefer longer posts / multiple paragraphs. I don't spellcheck and I don't grammar check, but I do ask that you have a comprehendible English fluency. I've seen enough badly Google-translated RP to know that I don't enjoy it and find its formatting jarring. ♦ Communicative, Friendly, and Engaging Partners I enjoy being friends with my writing partners as much as I do writing with them. I like for them to be able to communicate with me on an OOC level and be comfortable doing so. Send me silly cat pics or goofy FFXIV memes, tell me about your day if you're comfortable with that. ♦ No Mature Content Without Prior Consent I'm generally fine with most themes, but please ask me before pursuing certain scenes, particularly extreme violence, gore, torture, sexuality or maudlin. There are some days I can write for these themes and others when I can't. I ask for your understanding and consideration. Under NO circumstance will I ever be okay with roleplaying scenes of rape or suicide. Do not ask and do not attempt. ♦ Standard RP Riders No metagaming. No godmoding. No IC/OOC blending. ♦ No OOC Relationship Seekers I am happily married IRL. Friendship is my limit. Look for anything more with me and I'll happily add you to my blacklist. Any questions or concerns? untilIN AN UNKNOWN LAB... Two men stood next to the autopsy table, their eyes exchanging glances between the corpse and the written reports. "Fatality rate?" asked Leo in a casual tone, shuffling through the papers as he read them. "Exceeding expectations, Ser..." replied the man in the white coat, pulling the blanket over the corpse before taking off his surgical gloves. "And the effects on those who aren't the... main audience for this 'medication?'" Leo's eyes peeked over the papers, staring at the alchemist, a devious grin on his face. "Not... pleasant..." The alchemist shrugged. "But considering what it is meant to do, the survival rates of the other group is good enough indication that any spillovers or unintentional contamination can be contained as long we follow proper lockdown protocols." "Good!" Leo smiled, placing down the papers before picking up his mug, taking sip of his milk. "Prepare the first dosages. We'll start the trial for real. Depending on how it works outside of our tests, we will consider... mass production. Carry on!" The alchemist watched the spook leave with a shrug, taking back the report papers and straightening them up before turning over to the corpse. "Oops..." he sighed, realizing he hadn't fully covered the body. The corpse was a mess, its veins pushed against the skin, blood seeping through the crevices of the body; from the eyes, the nostrils, to the ears. "You at least deserve some privacy..." The alchemist winked, slowly pulling the blanket over the entire body fully this time. For a moment, he appreciated his work, smirking at the rotten third eye of the Garlean as the blanket descended over it... AT SHROUDROSE TEAHOUSE Mail arrives, directed to everyone... Apparently, it's from... Khan? Taking into consideration Khan's request, someone heats it up... Slowly but surely, a white ink starts to form over the wet splotch. The first prologue event of our next storyline will take place on Thursday, July 22nd at 8:00 PM EDT starting at the teahouse, hosted by Khuron Khan!

Ambassador Amythine Sunweaver of Ishgard is leading the fight against a new dragon horde led by the mighty Tarasque. Meanwhile, an insurrection against the new Ishgard government seeks to revert the nation to its old ways, and cast out those who would embrace change. Amythine is dedicated to her people, and will fight to her last breath if she must, but she is only one person. Bills have been posted in the major cities looking for mercenary aid on both the dragon attacks and the insurrectionist. untilA Miner Problem Client searching for whereabouts of Garlean encampment where his friend and her mother were reportedly held captive and forced to work at a facility mining unknown resources. May or may not still be staffed and functional. Likely around Thanalan, as Ul'dah was the first town client's friend reached after escaping and a few suns of running. If facility is located, search for clues about whether the mother of the client's friend is living or dead. Little information known, only that the woman was a scholar.
