Once more Norvalla mobilized to the shroud to aid this time a local garrison that was being stretched thin. The guardsmen at the location had been doing around the clock guard duty protecting the Twelveswood from various intruders as well as vigilantly staying observant of strange noises that were occurring on a nightly basis for over a weeks time. Exhausted and growing sloppy Norvalla was hired to alleviate the guards by taking a shift for an evening to keep vigilance over the shroud just North East of Fallgourd Float. Norvalla had a great showing for something that appeared to be a relevantly easy task. So they split up into 4 teams and spread throughout the outpost to ensure they would be able to watch every angle they could. The teams were as follows:

Fjola Eryut worked alongside Malachar to the South side of the Outpost.
Sarah Muril worked alongside Shar Dotharl to the west just outside the Outpost.
Llanore Aldavaul worked alongside Soroix Proctie along the rampart to the west.
Ryslo Suramlo worked alongside Noir Ackerman & E'tihl Tia to the East.

These teams would throughout the night identify movement and heard the eerie sounds of an echoed wail that moved about the shadows on which the branches of the woven canopy casted. Only the large pallid glow of the moon over head provided them any means of sight. One after another starting from the west, moving along the south and finally to the east they each identified a unique characteristic of what was prowling about. It was at the east where the attack was sprung and a large Ahriman appeared ravenous and hungry it did not hesitate with its aggression. Slowly the entire group moved toward the direction of the conflict with a second Ahriman revealing itself behind Malachar's group. With two of these winged monstrosities present everyone moved in to engage. The Combat was long but thankfully the group managed to fight these creatures back and eliminate the threat.

Finally after a week of preparation it was time for the heroes of Norvalla to save the day. After an, admittingly foolish plan, took place Arnvidar was taken captive willingly. Legatus Remus taking him prisoner. In exchange for a lack of an all out assault, murder, and chaos all around Remus offered them a contest of sorts to earn the boy back. And so they did exactly so. All the while the Legatus watched and studied the group, wondering why Arnvidar had put faith in these people over any other. A more traditional standing military even.

Remus finally got his answer. They demolished the challenges with ease, each one allowing a different member of Norvalla to open their skills up. After finally rescuing the two, Remus hold true to his word and allowed them to go free... but not before he shot Doctor Titus dead, ending the project forever...

Again Norvalla heeded the summons to come to the Shrouds aid - This time they sought out a new fledgling among the Wood Wailers. A young girl who went by the name of Mora Greensword. She was a Highlander, rare as it is for their kin to become Wood Wailers let alone live within Gridania considering the rich history between Ala Mhigan's and those of the shroud. Not because they are not allowed to live in the shroud but they are often met with old prejudices that are hard to die or to be forgotten. With her being accepted into the Woods Wailers it was a big deal and a great achievement for her family, yet her being taken captive by a group of poachers would certainly stain that achievement with failure and could put the family in harms way - from those said prejudices that always linger there on the surface. Not only that but the Wood Wailers themselves could not act, not directly since they didn't have proof enough to convict the 'poachers' on the kidnapping nor could they lable them poachers yet without solid proof of them doing just that.

Hence why Norvalla got involved. They were a third party and with connections to the shroud from a few of its members the had enough clout to take this task on without upsetting the balance of things between the elements and Gridania. They met up, gathered and ventured forth. At first it was a stealth operation and they made it really far into the fortress until a few poorly timed moments of bad luck hit them and the guards became away of their presence. The rest of the encounter would be a hard press fight with Norvalla coming out on top but nearly losing the objective when the Hostage had nearly passed away from a inflicted wound done by those who had captured her. Managing to stabilize her wound Norvalla took her to the nearest outpost to be tended to properly while they had also managed to secure a few of the poachers for questioning as well as conviction. Roric had also discovered a missive which linked the poachers to a slave trade.

Next day Mora Greensword sent a letter via Mog Mail to the group--

"Thank you Norvalla for rescueing me last evening. As you can tell I'm alive and well thanks to your quick actions and to the skilled practitioner's of the Conjurer's Guild. I just wanted to express my graditude which I fear I may never be able to do so properly but.. thank you! From the bottom of my heart thank you."

Well we have Random RP well and alive now at our Free Company house! So not only do we have regular events being run each week but we've also created and crafted a community where our members feel comfortable now starting up open RP between each other. We are super excited to announce that we will be entering Phase 2 of our Free Company's Progression. What Phase 2 will offering is the following for our members (Which means we are almost at a total of 30 Active Memberships (Not including alts!):

 

1. Free Company Story Theme (One that will extend for the life of the FC and Recorded so theres a core principle behind our community)
2. Potentially Opening up our Academy Section.
3. Free Company Raiding (New PvE Element)
4. Potentially Expanding our Conclave
5. Continue to Increase our Events throughout the week giving greater opportunity to our Europeans and American Playerbase.

Not only are we excited about how things are shaping up here in Norvalla but we finally got our entire RP System transferred to our website - We got Character Sheets being developed, Events being run, and new fresh faces joining every week that we're really able to get a friendly and RP oriented atmosphere up and running! If your looking for a growing, healthy, and developing home come check us out! The image just shows the attendance at one our events within the shroud!

We had 13 members actively participating this evening within the event plus we have 24 truly active members in our home with 7 alts in our community. We hope to hit 30 active members soon as we feel an active community is a healthy one and since we have a RP system and events running very often cliques do not seem to be an issue at all!

Dedication, Persistence, & Consistency.

 

We are digging hard and each of our members are having a great time. We have RP going on daily (Randomly created by our community), we have scheduled events going on weekly and soon we are relaunching our initiative to bring a Major Theme to the company itself when the FC Story Arc is brought forth once more. We are proud of our home and we super proud of the work we are putting into it. The following are things we now offer:

We have had an event Yesterday that went very well - A training with Katanas! Tomorrow we have a camping trip scheduled within the shroud too! Norvalla is growing! We have atleast 2 - 3 roleplay events a week, Plenty of Random RP throughout it too! Great character development, new members melding with our older ones and most importantly we are having fun in a low drama environment. We needed to work out some solid NPC's, flush and iron out some stories and now we can finally bring things together in a cohesive way which we hope will tell a unified story for all those involved!

Recent Announcement on our Discord that we are proud to share!

We just added a NPC Page to our Website as well! This is where you will find gathered information about NPC's you have all run across (Major NPCs Only) and a place to keep new players informed as well so they are not completely lost as our story grows larger and larger. Each season will have its own unique NPC page, Chapter Pages and so forth. We really want to drive home the message that Norvalla is all about that Roleplay. Right now we have information on Yorah but soon will have Information about Remus as well! Definitely look forward to the work and events we've got in store for everyone!
