General

Long ago, she was a fearsome wild fighter aboard the sailing ship The Riding Mist. She was the first mate, and typically the leader of any shore incursions. Since the Calamity, she has lost her mates, captain, and ship to where she felt she belonged. Now without her 'family' beside her, her hopes for the future is uncertain and bleak. She is currently trying to reconnect to the seafaring and dubious connections of the ocean tradesmen.

Appearance

A tall Roegadyn woman standing at six foot and eleven inches tall, olive skinned, and has blue hair highlighted with purple, with a few strands of grey mixed into the blue. Her height and muscular stature is very apparent. Her age is not elderly but you can guess she has been adventuring for a number of decades now. It was publicly known in the past that Bhara was a heavily armored, Roegadyn woman with a large ax, dressed primarily in orange colored suit of iron. Now semi-retired from the sea life, she spends most of her days dressed casually in peasant garb, which allows her to blend into the crowds in the cities. She has lost an eye which she tends to wear a eye patch at times, but when she is without one, her glass eye appears very normal.

When adventuring she wears a very well-worn suit of iron plate which is not decorated and full of gashes and scars from battles in the past, along with her ax which seems to have seen better days.

Behavior

Quiet and patient, prefers to be a tactician rather than jump into a fight right away. She is not motivated by Gil or riches, as you could tell clearly by her lack of style and upkeep of her armor and clothing. She will not pick fights, nor protect cowards. Her own whims seem to be random and chaotic, and have no reason. If confronted, she will defend herself clearly, and if her honor is insulted, she will clearly arrange for the person(s) to loose a limb. Divide1.png

Hobbies/Talents

Fishing. Drinking. Fighting.

History

Bhara grew up on board a pirate ship named The Riding Mist. Her mother was a shipmate and never was told who her father was, but she did have rumors in her teenage years that ended up false. She had no siblings that survived birth. Her mother raised her to be a helpful hand for the Captain, mostly he would bark "Bhara club!" or "Bhara drink!" and she would fetch the item for him. When arriving into her womanhood, she stopped being a hand of the Captain and was made to assist the cook in fishing and gathering foodstuffs from conquered ships or villages. The rest of the time aboard she was to help prepare fish for smoking, or made into jerky for long voyages when they did not want to be near land for long periods of time. She learned how to use an ax and took armor from the fallen to supplement herself. Her specialty was breakaway armor that in case she fell overboard she could release a few snaps and the weights= of the items would not drag her to the bottom of the ocean. During her years of raiding, she maimed, slaughtered and terrified many of a innocent, not worrying about the consequences. During this time she did lose an eye which will be told in a later tale.

Bhara grew into a strong woman, she never considered dating or even engaging any of the men aboard for a relationship. She decided long before then, that sailors were below her, and none could even qualify for her high standards of a man who could take care of her. She enjoyed her time aboard The Riding Mist, sailors did die young, and many of the chain of command changed over time, but Bhara remained loyal and true to those aboard what she considered her home.

Until the Calamity arrived...

They were nearly to Limsa Lominsa when huge waves struck the ship and tore her own feet from under her. Her ship slid from under her and she went flying into the churning ocean. She knew how to swim but the churning of the waters made it almost impossible to distinguish what direction was up or down. She remembered her mothers advice on swimming in a current, is to be calm, and float until the answer arrives. Just about to lose consciousness from lack of air, she surfaced, and saw the glow of the tower in the city ahead.

She and hundreds of refugees made it into the city, not truly understanding what had happened, but one thing was for sure, she lost her home and her family. And now, she is attempting to gather enough of a fortune to start her own ship, thinking she could be a better Captain than any pirate that gone before, but until then, she needs to stay quiet and hidden in case some person from her past voyages might recognize her.

After hearing a rumor from a overheard conversation in Aleport, she began investigating into some poisoned fish entering the market there. After tracking down some tips, she came across some suspicious folk talking. When Bhara was unsuccessful in being covert, the group confronted her indoors without a convenient escape. Upon some quick words and some lying, she was let to leave, but seems to bump into members of this party from time to time.

Now determined to make a mark on this new world, Bhara has decided upon finding other pirates, sell swords, and ruffians to network with. She is now scouting for a location to use as a safe house.

Her recent travels have relocated her to Ul'dah, which she is not particularly fond of. She hates the dry weather, the sand everywhere and the greed of the merchants. She is typically hanging out in the marketplace and watching the goings on with the trades and shops.

Deceased

((Bhara has the account locked so I decided to remove her from the game RPwise.)) Bhara was found dead, early in the morning in a remote alleyway in Ul'dah. No suspects or clues at this time point as to why or how. There were no markings on the body, nor any signs of foul play. This is currently a mystery.
