Partly inspired by the coining eorzean terms and partly by me doing the machinist quest line, I noticed that the nobility have a tendency of using french in their sentences. Lord Haillernarte uses "Nonpareil" which is another way of saying "without equal" or "Unparalleled" so I'd like to compile a list of french-origin loan words to be used to perhaps spice up the RP language.

Well, there was an Ishgardian Lore thread that had some interested sayings used in Ishgard by NPCs.
"Pure as peridot" was one. I love that one. |

Just thought of another word
"Joie de Vivre" = Joy of Life =Â keen or buoyant enjoyment of life |

Just for reference sake, here's the thread that I do believe Anthony was referencing. It may go well with the discussion.

"Fall to a dragon, go to heaven.
Fall to aught else, who gives two hells? ...That's the Ishgard way." -One of the Coerthas quests. That quote was one of the first times it really sunk in for me exactly how much emphasis was placed in Ishgard on the Holy See and the Dragonsong Wars, and how bleak and hopeless the culture was. Characters: M'sato Tia (Lost Soul Seeker), Soren Walker (Ishgardian Midlander Pilot), Solomon Laguerre (Elezen Mercenary/Bar Manager)
