She'd sit up slowly as she removed a book from her face. Behind it was a face deep with scarlet from embarrassment. She'd gently placed the book down, trying to soothe out the over even though that wasn't quite what it needed anymore. Poor thing possibly just wanted to rest and no be disturbed. That is, if a book could even feel things such as that.
She was very sheepish when she turned to look to the Lalafell, being mindful to not meet his gaze. At first, she was utterly confused. She hasn't seen many of his kind since she keeps to herself within her room full of engineering and metal but the last time she met a Lalafell, she was sure she annoyed him.Â
"Best to avoid that route.. No matter how curious I am.." She quietly scolded herself before her hand move out to grasp the man's own yet quickly paused after hearing his questions.Â
"Well.." She thought. "Can't really get upset at him for those comments.. Pretty good comeback though.."
Her eyes finally met his own and she felt another wave of embarrassment fall over her. She quickly shifted her positioning to be sitting on her knees, her hands pressed to the floor before her and she bowed her torso and head numerous times.
"I'm-sorry-I-was-trying-to-get-the-book-on-top-of-the-shelf-and-I-was-about-to-use-the-chair-but-thought-it-was-rude-to-do-so. So-I-tried-to-use-the-stool...-" She'd quickly cut herself off, realizing that her ramblings in one quick sentence may have not been helping the situation. She was just overwhelmed with embarrassment for not only failing and retrieving a book but the fact that others came down with it. Not to mention not being accustomed to the Guild and heard some rumors of those that study within it's halls. However, for that last part, she felt a bit guilty, listening to the rumors of others when they were more than likely not true.
Even if the Lalafell was making fun of her, at least he wasn't doing it boldly and he did ask the same thing she would, especially the dignity comment.
With a sigh in defeat, she lowered her head further. "I'm sorry.. Again.."
