A Semi-final Fight: Cho Renma versus Sindl Arahn
 versus
Cho Renma pounces as if he was waiting for this moment. With the pleasentries out of the way, Cho dashes forward and stops inches in front of his opponent's striking zone. In a flash, the golden-haired Mi'qote closes the gap and leaps several feet into the air, delivering a running roundhouse kick towards Sindl!Â
Cho is aiming for the side that Sindl was clutching after his last fight!
Sindl Arahn jolts back at the other Miqo'te's sudden ferocity, but retains the presence of mind to swing his sword in between himself and the kick - the force of the blow slaps the blade back against him, but it's a tap compared to what the kick would have been.  He half-turns, moving the injured side away, while his sword lashes out in a quick arc, aiming a flat-bladed slap at his opponent's ribs.
Cho is still feeling the hurt from when Dogberry broke one of his ribs a few nights ago, and is not able to put up a strong enough guard in time. Cho raises an open-palm hand to absorb most of the bare-blade strike, but even the amount that gets through causes Cho's eyes to twitch involuntarily as the pain forces him to wince.
Cho grunts loudly as he forces himself to push past the pain, but he is still smiling, as usual. Cho plants a foot forward, and gathers more of his Inner Force once again. Pushing up palm upwards, still pressed against Sindl's blade, Cho attempts to use his center of balance to toss Sindl flat on his back!
Sindl braces, Cho shoving at the blade.  He quickly plants his hand on the other side, pushing right back.  The two are deadlocked for a moment, the wood sword creaking between them as they try to overpower each other to no avail.  Sindl scowls, and relents for just a second, letting himself get shoved backwards slightly - only to lift his knee into a quick strike at Cho's midsection.
Cho stands still for a moment, just breathing. As he does so, it would appear that several of Cho's muscles actually shift and move, while his breathing slowly intensifies. "Inner-Force..."
Cho plants a foot forward, and reaches one of his fists back behind his head.
Cho takes a giant leap forward, delivering a strike to Sindl using the same fist that he was winding up. He aims directly for Sindl's left flank, the side most likely to receive a guard from the blade!
Sindl guards with the blade, as expected, but the punch comes with unexpected force - it drives the blade back towards him, and Sindl raises his left forearm to brace it.  Cho's punch is stopped dead - but something else continues into the blade.  There's a loud crack and an explosion of splinters, leaving Sindl holding a foot-long stump while several shards of wood go flying into the dirt around him.
Sindl snarls, and throws the useless wooden lump into the dirt, sending it bouncing into the grass.  He quickly makes fists, and launches a brutal uppercut at Cho's chin as he steps into the other Miqo'te's guard, the two of them reduced to unarmed brawling.
Cho was not expecting the sudden uppercut, and with his unbalanced stance, Sindl's blow lands square on Cho's jaw. The Miqo'te has his spit punched out as he takes two staggering steps back - still grinning the entire time - realizing what Sindl wants.
Cho responds in kind by planting his foot down to stop his staggering, and makes an attempt to jab Sindl in his temple!
Sindl slams his forearm against Cho's, blocking the incoming jab; he steps into the brief lock, shoving back against the other Miqo'te's arm.  His other hand reaches up to grab at the straps on Cho's shoulder, and with a grunt of effort he tries to push him off balance and simply hurl him to the ground through main strength, twisting to the left as he does.
Cho manages to resist Sindl's attempt to throw him off balance, and slips out of the Mi'qote's range. Cho starts to bob and weave around, placing his arms in front of his face. Using this as a distraction....
Cho delivers a quick kick to Sindl's knees, attempting to knock his partner to the ground!
Sindl drops slightly, and takes the kick to his braced thigh instead of his knee - he grunts at the impact, but it doesn't seem to slow him down: he winds back a fist, and answers with a right hook aimed right at Cho's head.
Cho ducks beneath the strike, Sindl's hand passing over Cho's head. However, in the process, Sindl inadvertently scrapes his closed-fist against the wound that Zalxee'to gave Cho in his previous fight. There is a small spurt of red.
Cho blinks as he feels something wet roll down his face. Pressing a hand to his brow, he looks at his palm and notices that he is starting to bleed profusely.
Cho drops his stance, and staggers as he falls backwards.
Cho grunts, "Whoa... sorry, buddy, but that last strike got me pretty dizzy. And bleedin'. I think I'm going to have to call it here."
Sindl steps back, wary, raising both fists as he watches Cho fall, wondering if it's another complex maneuver.
Cho is still smirking at Sindl, but he is clearly bleeding way too much for it to be a normal head wound.
Sindl blinks, and steps forward to offer Cho a hand up. Â "Uh - thank you. Â Although," he grins, his tone turning joking, "you owe me a new sword."
Cho struggles to get to his feet.
