So, the go-live date for that first application didn't happen due to snow and ice and such. So now plans are in the works to reschedule, possibly after normal work hours instead of taking up a weekend. Which is all well and good, but...

First thought was "please don't let it be this evening, I gotta see the Saucer!" Second was debating whether to ask if the staying late could be balanced out by coming in late (contract worker with no actual OT recompense, as far as I know) so I can knock out my usual evening nerd stuff in the morning.

... I'm a horrible employee. Sad
I was just asked what kind of water we put into our pool at the resort.

...OH GOD I NEED TO BE IN THE SAUCER ALREADY! ;_;

"The wet kind."
Ten minutes after the office opens. First phone call of the day. "Good morning! Can I help you?" I say cheerily. Without skipping a breath, the person in the other end - obviously irate - states very angrily: "Yeah. I've got a problem."

You know how sometimes, there's just something that tells you "Today will test your ability to withstand the public."? Some kind of odd customer service premonition?

It has not disappointed.
I decided to watch this while sending out some of the devices that have been calibrated.

I literally just watched that on my lunch break.
Not sure how I feel about a Power Ranger cappin' people in the head, but it is a pretty good bit of fanfilm.

That was... actually really impressive. I'm usually iffy around the sketchy "mature approach to a kids show" thing (even though I think the sentai shows touch on some grittier concepts in Japan?) but the futuristic graphics were really well done and the story was rather engaging despite how brief it was.

That was amazing.
It's apparently some satire on Hollywood and other's doing reboots of things in darker grittier fashion

So just like Ylvis' "The Fox" bit, the point will be utterly lost but will bring its creators no shortage of impressive fame.

Not too bad, really.
I know. Vaccination's are a "hot" "debate" but I couldn't help laughing while I ate my lunch after being here for 4.5 hours.

Patch drop Tuesdays are actually three hours longer than most other days. It's scientifically proven.

(Two hours and a drive home for me. Sad )
