Have you restarted the client or your PC?

Mhm.

Madda's uninstalled / reinstalled / mucked about in the patch files / etc.

The patcher is refusing to cooperate.

I've got the big file for the 2.51 patch saved, but it won't do too much without the rest.. :<

Hopefully it gets a resolved soon.

But knowing the branch of SE that runs XIV, we have a better chance at them producing a decent FF console game.

Go to your documents folder is -- or wherever your 'My Games' folder is. In my case, it's in my documents. Right click on the FFXIV: A realm reborn folder, hit properties, and uncheck the 'Read only' option. Select the follow-up option of 'Apply changes to this folder, subfolder and files', and hit ok. You should be fine after that.

Nope. Nothing.
