I bring this topic up as a point of humor, since my new toon is a dragoon-in-training XD  Not to mention I saw a few posts on tumblr about how junior dragoons could get pranked by their mentors.

So I figured why not, it could extend to all classes! How do you think Master Bards, Arcanists, etc etc would punk their poor halpless students? Feel free to add in any little anecdotes if your character was trained by a master or teacher. Big Grin

Monk: Something about believing in the power of your chakras and how you totally won't break your hand on the boulder punching it as hard as you can.

Dark Knight: Tell your pupil to stand in the fire and conveniently forget to say "but not for too long."

Black Mage: Initiation is going into town and summoning some voidsent.

Bard: Go be a moogle bitch for a day. It's mandatory >.< We are all bards.

Triggered. Black magic has jack-all to do with the void.

On topic: Black Mage: Convincing people black magic has anything to do with the void.

THM/BLM: Dye their students robes pink.

CNJ/WHM: "Plant" their staff or wand outside somewhere they can easily find it, maybe grown some small plants around it. OR Convince the student that elementals communicate through interpretive dance and then watch the student make an ass of himself. Downside: The Sylphs might like it.

ROG: Frame the student for some heinous crime, like stealing the Admiral's undergarments.

NIN: Randomly suiton the pupil during inopportune moments like social gatherings.

MRD: Switch out the student's axe head with one made of stale cake (Requires Culinarian)

WAR: Soak the students clothes in Apkallu pheromones, watch the pandemonium.

GLD: Send the student out to prove his strength against a foe that doesn't exist (Aka Snipehunting)

PLD: Have the student guard a precious Ul'dahn relic that doesn't exist, making them swear an oath to keeping it safe at all times. Wait a day, check on it. Watch the student freak out.

ACN/SMN/SCH: Glue their books shut. Nuff said.

I'll try to think of more.

What a colossal waste of time and energy.

Dark Knight: So, I want you to walk up to that beastman, drop your sword, and kill it only with those dark powers you still don't know jack about. I'll be watching from the rock over there, planning your burial.

...maybe with a different wording, but yeah, Isaulde can be an asshole when she is teaching someone.

Rogue:

Show Content
SpoilerHave your student do all the work you should be doing yourself, while you run off to enjoy yourself elsewhere (C'mon, that's a classic).
And then there's this super pretty (and expensive) item you saw once and always wanted to have...but you could get into trouble fetching it. Or, someone could get into trouble.

Caution is important in the trade, so a little food poisoning will teach him to be more cautious about what he eats - after he recovers from his diarrhea.

Moreover, "borrowing" important tools from your student before sending him off to his next assignment is a great way to foster improvisation skills!

And yes, wearing high-heels during sneak-training is absolutely necessary. Being a guy is no excuse!

Although just speaking full-on thieves cant would probably be prank-y enough.
