(Before we get underway this is my first forum rp so be gentle . To make matters slightly more challenging I am gonna experiment with a different method all together and will now explain it. From what I have seen most of the RP's have direct interaction with the users character, however in this RP people will not be interacting with my character but rather begin to create opinions, assumptions and a vast variety of things based on things they hear ranging from taverns and guards to things they see such as articles regarding my characters actions. People are free to interact with each other and talk about what they know and speculate on things that may occur. Ultimately this RP will kinda try to make you unravel the kind of person my character is without actually meeting him and will just have deduce it based on information from various sources. Kind of hope I explained it well enough, any and all OOC critiques and comments are welcome, just make sure they are put in parenthesis like this. Also once in game RP's start occurring the events of what go down there may also make it on here. So without further ado lets get started.)
It is a quiet and cool night in the city of Ul'Dah, and tucked away into a corner of the city is fair sized tavern where individuals of all sorts gather. In the tavern among all the guests are two who are sitting at a table who appear to be distraught and perhaps fearful.
Distraught Man1: "You heard what happened to Jan right?" said the man with a slight shiver in his voice.
Distraught Man 2: "Are you kidding me everyone from pickpockets to gang leaders know what happened to him and with good reason" the second said with a tinge of anger and then continued "Not only was his crew slaughtered but so were buyers. The gil and arms were taken and above all Jan was impaled right onto a wall by a Garlean flag" the man finished with anxiety now building up in his voice.
Distraught Man 1: "What are we going to do!!" the man said in a loud panicked voice.
Distraught Man 2: "Quiet don't make a scene" the second said in a fierce yet hushed voice
Distraught Man1: "We had strong tie to Jan if the persons or person who did that find out we knew and in fact did business with him it could be ending up pinned to a wall" he said in a quieted voice now but still in a panic. "We should just go to the guard and have them protect us or send us to jail or something that will keep us away from whatever may be coming".
Distraught Man 2: "No!" said the man now raising his own voice slightly "I will not run to the guards just because Jan got unlucky. Listen we should leave the city tonight, I have a few contacts up north, they can help us lay low until this situation resolves itself, now get up and lets go we may have attracted more attention than need be."
Both men got up and quickly left the tavern with slight jogged to their step. Once gone the patrons who took notice of the men and perhaps overheard the conversation try to wrap their heads around what has occurred.
