I'm coming here because today, while RPing in Camp Dragonhead, I had a bad experience with someone complaining to me OOCly in a very wordy, condescending manner that my Ishgardian nobleman gave their character a look of annoyance that they were in the same building as him.
"[In a public place like Dragonhead too. I'm sorry, it's very much clashing against the established lore. You own this building and such ? The rule isn't being broken, you're just overstepping the boundaries and performing an action without knowing the background of whom you're interacting with. Please, check again.]"
Now, I pretty much lost it at this point. I was confused, immensely! I didn't say a word about what they could, or shouldn't do. My character simply glanced at someone else's with annoyance.
Did I do something wrong? Is there a Balmung code of "don't look at people"?Â
I'm actually upset by this because I've never, in 5 years of MMO RP, had this happen over a simple glance RPed by two lines of text.
e: there were several more whispers after, that insulted my intelligence and my lore-knowledge as well as said that I should pay attention to 'real RPers'.
