I would be wary of lifting directly from East Asian culture to make exact analogues for Othard in FFXIV. Ul'dah is an example of this.
Ul'dah is undeniably Ottoman/Persian influenced in its architecture. However, Central Thanalan is styled after an American West sort of frontier, with a railway and a saloon style bar. There are Greco-Roman style gladiators and a 'coliseum'. It has French-style paladins as royal guards complete with fleur-de-lis. Its high fashion through the Weavers' Guild is all Renaissance/Enlightenment style.
Similarly, Othard COULD be a similar case. It might have a Far Eastern 'base' but with other influences pulled from other cultures. Whether it will is anyone's guess.
