There are a few linkshells I could recommend, but I don't want to advertise! The Tavern has been helping me immensely with finding people who also like to roleplay, but I'm sure there are many other amazing linkshells out there that serve the same purpose. The Linkshells tab of the forums is a wonderful resource to find the type of limkshell you're interested in. As for Free Companies, my recommendation (take it as you will) is to join a PvE one as you level until you find one that suits your character for the long-run. Just my two cents!
