It's not that it's slow, it's that it's boring. In the low level dungeons there is practically nothing to heal, and what little there is, arcanist and thaumaturge can cross-class all your utility away, and by the way, your DPS is near worthless. It's not fun because you may as well just not be there until ~level 30.
