Not everyone seeks FCs out the gate and sometimes I find it's beneficial to be more than a potential member. (Almost all of my rp partners, for example, are not in an FC with me nor would I wish to recruit them to mine.) Also, that can make it a lot more daunting for the new player than say having a friend or two out the door who can hep them establish before they commit to an organization out the gate.
