They dont know how the technologies work or much of the history. being a clone doesnt necessarily mean you have all the memories and knowledge of the original. Unei/Doga had knowledge that they were clones, and they probably were only taught what they needed to know for their mission.
However, your point of being the instant center of attention is indeed a good thing to think over. Personally I have never done well in a large group as the spotlight person rp wise. It would be a defining factor of the character, being a clone, but how they changed goals, their undercover nature of everything, and what they do to fit in would be the major rp point to go on.
It would be a fine line to dance across.
