Personally, I'm all for romance but it all seems so trite sometimes. Also I don't appreciate the pressure to experience some sort of perfect "fairy tail romance".Â
Admittedly I'm not very experienced with these things, but I think there can be romance found everyday between two people. It's the little things that matter ultimately, but again that's just my opinion.
True romance is a luxury that K'oda can't afford. That can be understandably confusing and is quite contradictory to some people, seeing as companionship and romance are rather large facets of K'oda's trade.Â
But all one needs to do is look closer to see that the romance K'oda creates isn't real. Or rather, it isn't genuine. It's like a beautiful sculpture made of ice; alluring, even enchanting but ultimately cold and temporary. Eventually the spell melts away and then there is no hiding from the truth. In the bright light of day, he is alone.Â
Deep in his heart he holds out hope, but in the forefront of his mind he knows not to give in to such fantasies. He's no fool, and won't delude himself. There is no room for such pleasures in his life.
