I queued into Void Ark on my 3rd Job aka Monk.
Someone in the Balmung RP community can attest to how horribad I am as a monk when undergeared and also COMPLETELY ASSFUCKING NEW.
I ate the floor more times than a DRG!
I actually liked the amount of travel and movement there was in Void Ark. Was really fun.
Except for the whole I-am-Alliance-B's-token-dick-Monk-pulling-everything-before-people-can-mention-anything-about-the-mechanics.
Edit: I was thinking, Thancred has one eye covered right? Say that Flow helped cause Y'shtola's blindness... imagine Flow took Y'shtola's -two- eyes but for Thancred it took one eye and his ability to manipulate aether well.
