
This was the first chapter of the MSQ where I found the writing to be markedly clumsy, or maybe more specifically the planning. There were still intriguing developments and as many questions as revelations, but it all seemed very short and the new elements felt crammed in. Kind of ham-fisted relative to prior chapters, to my thinking.
Anyway, the teasers at the end are highly interesting, and I'm getting nervous about Alisaie and Urianger now.
