The first thing to be aware of is in game, special emotes are /em unlike every other program I've ever used. Also, there is a patch update (3.15) coming 12/15, so 12/16 might be a good day to try and get on Balmung if you are wanting to try the right after maintenance route. If I recall correctly, the server is supposed to come back up at 3:00 am PST. If you start to figure out a character, I'd be happy to RP with you, even to help you figure out more about the character.
