The only job that a moogle "friend" is probably needed is Bard... I know a few people who want to be/who are IC bards (the magical bow shooting, song singing type...not the tavern hopping type). They need to have a moogle interaction. But ICly walking around with one all the time is probably discouraged... I tend to avoid moogles ICly to avoid this confusion but that's just me.
