Fayes suggestion of the Harbingers of Dawn are a good sort, I don't know them too well, but i've met a few of their members.
Aysun and S'anhu both put up links to the "Linkshell hall" where you'll find a whole host of others. I'd take a look at "Intermission", a good OOC channel to get you "in the thick of it" as it were. Plenty of people, ideas and opportunities floating around there.
