Sounds like a good villainous story to me! I think maaaybe the misunderstanding might have risen from the assumption that this was a recruitment purely for the sake of ERP without a character background that was well thought out. Â Which can happen, although I haven't seen it on these boards, but I can see how people can get a little prickly about it.
I would hope every villain does not have to explain themselves to get players involved, but I think now that the explanation *is* out there, this might actually get more people interested in this arc.
