Okay.
It's clear there's a lot of passion on both sides of the issue, and that it's a complicated issue involving a lot of different perspectives and policies. That said, I think the posts here are going the wrong direction in tone, so I'm locking the thread before it gets any more acrimonious. I think all sides have made their thoughts clear at this point.
EDIT: I hate that my first official act other than bopping spammers on the head is locking a thread.
