That sounds unfairly restrictive. If film and tv can get it wrong, we can, and if we want to be better about it then them, we can always do our research. I don't understand.I had a best friend growing up for nine years who had schizophrenia so my idea was based off my experiences and how much time I spent with that person. You can not truly know someone unless you are them though, but I had such a strong bond with her that it felt like we were one most of the time. It can take a huge toll on you though, not only for the one with the mental disability but the people who are close to them. Boundaries are really hard to be kept.
Anyway, I came from forum rp as well. Â Not being able to dictate the pace and nature of the rp I get is a bit jarring myself. I'm used to being the ringleader as far as the story writing goes, since that's usually what I did on the forums I played on. But now I have to say it's somewhat of a relief to not need to. I can be part of the crowd or merely silently observe if I wish. That's something hard to do in forum rp at times without a lot of terse, uninteresting posts, unless you're fine with volunteering a lot of internal monologue (like I was.).
How many hours a week do you spend roleplaying? Just curious seems like you have spent a lot of time and love into it.
