So~o~o~o, this thread is a little old, but... I was going to make an anime and manga thread, but did a search first and here I am. I know some communities prefer making new threads instead of necroing old threads, so if that's the case, I'll gladly make my own.Â Big Grin

Basically, I am a huge fucking otaku and not just anime and manga wise, but all around. I love Japan, both old and modern. Jen and I have wanted to visit at least, maybe even more there. I feel homesick for a place I've never been, when I see pictures and I mean just every day stuff, or hear people talk about the events. Anyway, anime and manga!

Anime:
My absolute favorite: Death Note. Followed by: Sailor Moon and Sailor Moon Crystal.

I also really love:
Attack on Titan,Â Love Live,Â Ouran High School Host Club,Â Maid-Sama,Â Gourmet Girl Graffiti, and WataMote.

Those I started with, I still love and they are very special to me: Trigun, Inuyasha and Neon Genesis Evangelion.Â

Manga:
ALL THE DEATH NOTE! Again, my favorite. Followed by: Black Butler, which Jen and I just started. *hugs the series and squeals*

I also really love: Vampire Knight, Chibi Vampire, Ouran High School Host Club, Kitchen Princess, Phantom Thief Jeanne, Sakura Hime and Yu-gi-oh. I am oddly addicted to kimi ni todoke.

I just startedÂ Fushigi yuÌ‚gi (very good),Â Revolutionary girl Utena (interesting), Shujo chara (kawaii) and one that I am especially interested in is Umineko, when they cry.

I'll bite. I'm on my phone at work right now, so I'll make a bigger post later. However, I'll say for now that my favorite series is Spice and Wolf.

Also, as for the ones most recently mentioned, I'm a huge fan of Ouran, Kimi ni Todoke and Chibi Vampire.

Love live though...that series is amazing. Who's your favorite? Big Grin

My favorite is Maki - I'm always a sucker for the tsundere type...

Admittedly, Aishiteu Banzai! being my favorite Love Live! song might have something to do with it. It's right up there with Snow Halation and Loveless World.

My girlfriend is a big fan of Eli and Nico though...I, too, hear Nico Nico Nii a ton.

Currently, I'm trying to avoid Anime as much as possible, for fear my brother will latch onto it.

He's already assaulted my eardrums with endless Harem animes, which is a genre I care for very little. All you need to know is, Tenchi Muyo, it ain't.

Good man. No one should have to feel the feels of a tear jerking ending. I literally cried at the end of Elfen Lied. Not because my murder porn had ended, but because Lily did nothing wrong.

Does anybody remember Studio Ghibli? I'm unsure if it's still around, but I pretty much grew up on Miyazaki's work.

It's DEFINITELY on my To Watch list. Sadly, can't read as it's not in our libraries. x.x I may try online, but I so prefer manga in my hands.
