I seem to have a very strange tendency to have my characters hoard things. To the point where sometimes, some of their entire rooms are just filled with all kinds of things! But they always have a reason for it, ridiculous or not. But I'm wondering, are there any other characters out there who collect things? Like, maybe to an EXTREME amount or not so extreme, but why do you think some characters to do this? Is it really just hoarding? Are they so glued to their studies that they just keep collecting and collecting more books until their entire closet is filled with nothing but tombs? Or maybe they have a problem with hoarding, to a psychological extent?
Cercil is a scholar but she's only a little messy with some books. Her desk is a little cluttered, but she collects some magic stuff for reference.
Chesparaux (I'll just call him Chespar, he's my Duskwight Elezen healer/WM) on the other hand, hoards like a squirrel hoards their nuts in trees. He has crap EVERYWHERE and yet he still makes use of it all. It's all books, medical devices, probably some sort of narcotic to keep his insomnia up.
So, I guess this a little weird of a question - but does your character have any strange hobbies or tendencies that makes them hoard or collect things? What for? And how does it affect their lives? (If at all, I mean if like - you're at Chespar's level where his entire home is a mess of things and it makes guests wary.)
And I made a poll for fun!
