According to the SE EU twitter, the codes are region locked I believe. Scroll down a bit here:

UK/EU codes are the same but US aren't.

So I was able to slice my way through the mire and get my physical CE order in. Just wanting to compare notes with anyone else who may have been able to do so as well.

Time of order, Squee had put a pre-auth of 50 cents on my account for the 24 hour period.

This morning, the pre-auth is gone. No full charge.

Presumably--and I believe they did this with the original box as well--they'll be hitting my card for the full amount when its near the date of EA.

Not ideal, frankly but...then again, this company has always handled its back-end stuff poorly.

Anyone else able to get through and can confirm this is what went down as well?

I honestly didn't check my account or not. Some places put tiny holds that disappear and sometimes the banks do that themselves.

If anyone still doesn't know, EU physical is in fact Â£130

Edit in terms of charging, all my preorders from anywhere charge full price at time of shipment.

All physical collector's will be in store at the date/time mentioned earlier for EU.

For digital someone told me that it'll be in the PSN store when that happens.

just called gamestop they said they now have a price for the boxed one listed, but currently do not have a way to preorder it as they cannot pull anything from their site. As stated, they do have a SKU, however. They'd stated that, given square's track record it might have to be paid in full day of preorder, rather than like most other games. They're showing a listing of 150 for it, which, given the shipping costs I saw from SE's website, I'd still be saving about, what, 60 dollars for the same 8-10 shipping period bullshit? They even offered for me to pay an extra 10 dollars to have it shipped straight to my house within that 8-10 day period after release, so... my money might be going to a vendor, especially given the bonus prize of the cloth it comes with

Hell, I still have that cloth from gamestop's release of ARR

I got the e-mail about 10 minutes after I ordered the box, just enough time to mourn my wallet's contents.

Not being able to enter the key is a touch frustrating, you would have thought if they had the keys generated then you'd be able to redeem them but...c'est la vie.

They probably have some poorly done system where they will allow pre-order codes to get validated, put in, and it allows for certain things to get ticked into the system already. Too early.

I will say though, I definitely can see why UK players are so upset. If what people said were true, you would think UK can get EU pricing.

I'm not too surprised though that it is 129 GBP and 129 USD. It's similar (I think) to when Sony launched the vita and when its price dropped. 249 USD, 249 GBP. Dropped to 199 USD and 199 GBP iirc.

Once I got over the NA store hassle and accidentally pre-ordered an extra CE physical, I emailed their support yesterday. They refunded it no hassle even though I had validated my code on the other one. No fuss.
