DBZ is one of the most idiotic shows on television. It's people screaming at eachother for upwards of 20 minutes, shooting energy balls and punching faces, with measures of power determined by how spiky and stupidly long your hair is. It's dumb. It's insultingly dumb. And I fucking love it. By all means I shouldn't. I should not, with my anime standards that lean towards "anything but Shonen", be liking any of this god-awful show. And yet I do. It is so bad it's good, and the movies are somehow much, much better (possibly because they actually gut the filler due to the 1-2 hour timeframe).
