Nick I think you should leave your thread open. It's perfectly valid to ask for a romantic interest, as sometimes the people you rp with may not have that interest at all. Plenty of people don't enjoy romantic/erotic roleplay, and some people enjoy it immensely.

No harm in asking for someone who's interested in such things.

And some folks don't have the time to commit to a long, drawn out, friendship turned courtship turned relationship. I wish we all did, but sometimes we just don't.

Agreed with Merai here. There's been a stigma towards romance in RP communities for the past few years; wanting to weed that circle out is more than fair for all parties involved.

Still, you might be surprised. Vetiver ended up winning the heart of her previous love over another and though she's since lost her to death, it came with a lot of excellent character development.

A mix of both may just be in order. :3

This is opinion and everyone has a different one. We all think our own opinion is the rightÂ one but that doesn't make us right. I can see both sides and have, in fact, been on both sides with both positive and negative results.

The fact is, both can be fun if you find the right person! Just cause you find someone OOCly doesn't mean it's going to work ICly. The person met ICly could prove incompatible with you and lead to issues down the road. I can't make my character fall in love with another character... when I play her, she has her own opinions and it doesn't matter what I think of the person playing the other character. So for me, I have to find both a playerÂ and a characterÂ that I can work with.

I agree with letting a story flourish myself, but since you are looking for open doors rather than a hand to pull you through them, I'll just throw out that Rini is single, but not really looking. He could always bump into her though, I love random RP with little OOC setups. But as far as romance, gl, she hasn't a clue about relationships. Tongue
