(Let me know if you think you might be involved in this story.)
Evangeline weaves through the crowds, surly and irritable in the summer heat. "What kind of fools built a city in a damnable desert."
The streets here are tight and twisting, and unlike the richer areas, unplanned. Space is at a premium within the walls, and it could be divided into two categories, the great orderly streets and mansions of the rich and royal, and the spaces and cracks between their enclaves. This is one such crack, a narrow curving strip between two great merchant manors. Many times the Blades had been sent in to clean the place out, but like water, the residents simply flowed back after every sweep. Through this maze of dusty alleys, ramshackle buildings and suffocating crowds, Evangeline struggles, thankful for once of her Elezen height letting her see over the heads of most. Looking at the roughly scrawled piece of paper she turns down a side street, hopping over a particularly ornery looking cat, and turning sideways to squeeze through, her jacket scraping over rough stucco.
Finally she emerges, finding herself in a slightly nicer area, the streets, while not wide or ornamented, were at least paved with stone. Taking a moment to gain her bearing she continues, walking towards a squat rectangular building, which seems to have seen better days. A stylized engraving of a lantern hangs over the wide double doors. One whole side of the building is sacrificed to accommodate a large chocobo loading dock, and several crates lie nearby.
Evangeline takes a deep breath, shouldering her satchel, before pushing open the doors and entering the Ul'dah headquarters of the Tonberry's Lantern.
