Now that I have your attention...
Allow me to introduce myself.
I've been playing Final Fantasy since 1997 when I was but a wee little Dameon Jr. watching my older cousin flying around in the Highwind. He'd sometimes leave me with his PS1 (after removing the memory card) and I'd fly around for hours doing absolutely nothing useful. I'd just enjoy the scenery, the music and the fact I was flying a big ol' airship.
I was about 14 then. I'd played RPGs before (mostly Breath of Fire back on the SNES, but I even played Dragon Warrior back on the original NES for a while.) but none had ever really caught my attention all that much. For some reason those polygons SPOKE to me, the Kweh of the chocobo, that satisfying sound when a Limit Break began.
Needless to say, I plowed through numerous Final Fantasies. VII, Tactics, Anthology, Origins, Chronicles, VIII, IX, X, X-2, Tactics Advance, XI, XII (And after that I started to sort of lose a bit of steam. Sorry Lightning, you just weren't my lady.)
I've been through a long road of MMOs as well, with my first actually being Runescape (Not that I freely admit it), then Ragnarok Online, Final Fantasy XI, City of Heroes/Villains, World of Warcraft, Champions Online, DC Universe Online (Both PS3 and PC), Star Wars: The Old Republic, Guild Wars 2, Planetside 2, and a few other free to plays I can't rightly recall.
I'm a long time roleplayer as well, starting back in web based chatrooms, enduring the horrors and hardships of places like Yahoo and it's sceezy underbelly, to the wonderful, long lost MSN-Group Pages where I would enjoy the hybrid, if somewhat clunky, chatroom/forum/image gallery lay out it had.
I think I actually started roleplaying BECAUSE of Final Fantasy VII.
But yes, over a decade later, here I am, ready to throw my support behind another Final Fantasy.
