Why is there so much panic? x_x  "The code's region is inapplicable. You can only enter codes from the same region as your Square Enix account RE: Might Want to Wait to Add That Beta Key! - Bloodwillow - 08-21-2013 It seems to be going in slowly now as I got mine and my spouse done. Make sure if you are in NA you go to: http://preorder.na.finalfantasyxiv.com/ And keep your eye on the URL that it stays like that. I will keep looking for more info. RE: Might Want to Wait to Add That Beta Key! - Niteshade_Rune - 08-21-2013 mEH, ERROR code 3 here, guess ill wait another day lol. Ah well. RE: Might Want to Wait to Add That Beta Key! - Niteshade_Rune - 08-21-2013 Ok, i managed to find something that worked for me at least to get going. It seemed to work. I am playin on both platforms but have opted to have the early access code applied to the pc half of my account for the time being. I'm quoting a portion of text off a post in the beta forums >>>> "this has worked now for a number of folks "What finally worked for me was editing my profile settings. Basically, after going to the pre-order code entry site and picking your language, it asks you to log in. After you log in (you may need to fill in some information) it'll take you to the code entry page. Instead of entering the code, I clicked my newly chosen handle in the upper right corner of the page. That displayed a drop down, and I clicked the "My Profile" option. That took me to the profile details page. I filled in the information there and noticed that my language was set to English (UK). I changed that to English (US), saved my information, went back to the pre-order page, and was able to enter in my code without any problems." Please Bump! Edit - Caligamy - For the people that cant get this to work... be super redundant in checking every possible language setting. Do it for both the Top and Bottom of the page.. that seemed to be my hangup Well said. " ^ It seemd to work on my account and i got the code for registration afterwards, no error 3 RE: Might Want to Wait to Add That Beta Key! - CrimsonMars - 08-21-2013 It worked for me as well. It gave me the PS3 reputation code I needed for downloading it. Seems like SEs doing its job. Hey guys for the record I followed these steps and it worked. I'm currently downloading the client on PS3. I did have a discrepancy in the profile section. No preferred language at all. I hit save. Manually went back to login screen for the code, logged in and got my Early access code on the first try. RE: Might Want to Wait to Add That Beta Key! - erosskye - 08-21-2013 I think most of the mess up is people not watching before they click. When you click pre order, at the top there is an option for US or EU which then puts your "account" into that countries system. This is why as stated above, peoples accounts were stuck in EU under their profiles. Then once you get to the order screen it automatically starts you in PC DIGITAL DOWNLOAD; since your accessing their site from a PC. The PS3 players MUST click PS3. I assume many of them didn't and ended up with PC copies. But alas this is just my observations on the situation. No issues with codes or games on my end. RE: Might Want to Wait to Add That Beta Key! - Desmond Aryll - 08-21-2013 Can't speak for others but I went over that page more times than I care to admit. There was no mistake. At least not on the preorder key page. Why is there so much panic? x_x 'tis not even about that, I can understand the concern there. Rather I mean the people that INSIST on registering their code now, now, now. I've read a lot about it on the Beta forums especially the other day. People constantly refreshing and retrying despite the errors, ugh. RE: Might Want to Wait to Add That Beta Key! - Grinner - 08-22-2013 Ok, maybe you guys can help me out. I pre-ordered July 14, got my email, and registered, as instructed. My profile showed ARR under registered games. Today I was told by a friend that I needed to go to the linkie for the early access, so I did. I got Error 2: Code already in use. So I checked my account, and ARR is no longer in my registered games. I'm trying to remain calm, but this is really - upsetting. Regards. I pre-ordered July 14, got my email, and registered, as instructed. Hey, Grin! I'll take a wild guess here, did you have a NA account? Don't forget to set your Square Enix account user settings / profile to NA too, even in the preferred language setting-- actually, just set everything you could set into NA region, including the address bar of your browser, does it spells EU somewhere? Replace it with NA if it is. Afterward, you should log out and go to the http://preorder.na.finalfantasyxiv.com/us where you should continue as usual, logging in and such. Good luck! nb: If it's continue to produce error messages, it could be that the server is congested, it happens the day before, but eventually you should get through and receives your 20 digits true code. It's all English (US), and the address I'm linked to is preorder.na. I still get the Error 2: The code entered has already been used. AND the game is still no longer registered to my account. Hmm, that's strange. Even if the 18 digits codes are already processed before, it should still be able to go through the validation process and give you the 20 digits codes instead (and potentially also sends you multiple emails from it). Yesterday when SE is turning off their code redeem system temporarily for maintenance, it always gives us error too, the same like it is being congested. (Bad decision by SE, why wouldn't they shut down the web temporarily instead? It is confusing for those who did not know what was happening). Or maybe... yours were the wrongfully sent EU codes instead? Well anyway I'll advise that you should try to reach SE's helpdesk by live chat as soon as possible. Be warned that the queue might be long since many people are still having problem with their codes, you're definitely not alone in this, so... best of luck to you! Actually I did watch, and started on the NA site and it WENT to the EU site when I would click on something. They even routed people to the JP site too.  Called fail on the other end, not always the users, heh.
