Second, this. I've had the best luck with counter-trolling the trolls. As soon as you do it, they'll realize you're no fun and just go away. Breaking character for one moment to do it is often a lot faster than just ignoring them when you're trying to get them to go away quickly. They get oddly persistent when I just stay quiet. O.o

I also lay blame to any eRPers who miss tell, not judging you for eRPing, but miss telling your written erotica in general chat is like sending a dick pick to your flame via email and clicking on -send to all office- as well.

As many others said it's probably brought on by Mistells or in some cases like mine your first exposure to RP is just disturbing or silly. My first exposure to RP was a ad on Gaia online and sparing the graphic details, for ERP with a Kingdom Hearts setting and with rather shameless wording. It took a friend of mine explaining it along the lines of. "Think of it like this, RP is like you're writing a book. Except it's 2 player, together you write a story based on the subject." To help me get over my negative impression of that. He eventually convinced me to give it a shot and it became one of my creative loves in life.Â
So all we can do is try to slowly change people's minds one at a time however we can. For those willing to listen anyway..
