The theme this year is “PROGRESS” The Opening Ceremony begins with a parade of nations, where blitzball players march proudly alongside their coaches, sponsors, and representatives from their homeland. This is always an exciting spectacle as it brings out marching mammets, parade magitek reapers, armored war chocobos, and adorable mascots. Following the parade, each team will be honored with a performance from their home nation. The performances range from traditional or popular song and dance to elaborate military marching ceremony. It’s a real chance for a nation to show off it’s unique customs. (note - unfortunately, this year Limsa Lominsa will not be performing a 24 cannon salute suite.) http://aegir-ffxiv.tumblr.com/

Remember, players, you must attend at least 2 practices before your game to qualify! Each practice has a hard run time of 60-mins. After the 60 min mark, we will end the practice! Practices are OOC. You do not have to come with your team. This is just to over the system with the event organizers and clear up any questions you have about the mechanics! We may change some of the mechanics during practice if someone makes a great suggestion or we run into something we did not plan for!
