Oooooh sweet Lordy Jeus, I've got one for the ages. Just you have to understand this story made me quit an MMO. I dunno if I got banned, but it made me log out, delete my character, and cancel my subscription.

Now I live in the heartland of the USA, and while not everyone is your stereotypical inbred-whitetrash-podunk-NASCAR lovin'-gun toting-cousin kissin' piece of Ku Klux crap...they DO exist. One of these people happened to be the father of my baby cousin. By the time my older cousin had left this hick, the baby's first word had been a racial slur, and his entire vocabulary had expanded to more than this one particular racial slur. Fast-forward about a month to the time my older cousin had developed a pseudo nursery rhyme to teach her son that these were no-no words. I was explaining all this to my friend while engaging in some jolly Trade chat, and Â when he asked for the rhyme, I told him. In Trade.

Now I'm going to censor this, but understand that these were slurs for african americans.

These are words I will not say!'

That's right. I dropped four of the WORST racial slurs EVER!!! It goes on, but this is more than enough to get my embarrassment across. Do not try and top me.

This is more tame than what I said in the middle of busy Ul'dah...I think anyway.Â I didn't use any slurs but I basically said "He better not be doing that, jerk".Â Completely out of context but the single sentence that made its way into /say just...made me run in horror.Â It's not even worth explaining in context because even my reason for saying it could be misconstrued!Â No one said anything on it but I was right by the retainer, marketboard... plenty of people had to have seen it <_< It's funny now though.

Has anyone else taken to rating and reviewing the MT's that show up in your channels?

Whenever someone MT's in my FC or OOC LS channel I give it a rating out of 10 and a brief review >.>

example:

Guildie: Yeah gotta keep on top of those adds.
Guildie: MT
Me: 3/10, possible double entendre but in the context of an MMO the meaning is clearly non sexual

Yes! Whenever someone MTs into FC or LS or party chat or whatever, we get all disappointed that the MT wasn't sexy enough.

Oh dear... I feel better now, I'm not the only person whose done this! Generally my mistells happen in Skype when I'm trying to rp with two different people late at night which would be rated more of a 1/10 then anything good. ( Also can we make like an official rating system? 0.0 it would be great )

There is a couple though, one was when I had first started playing mmo's my now ex-girlfriend needed a cleric for her guild and had decided I was just nerd enough to get into it. I was flirting with her in party chat while I was turning in quest objectives and posted it in the general chat channel. The guys that were there to listen were great about it, even if I never lived it down, but let me tell you anything like that I check prodigiously before I send it now. Blush
