I finally got through to them all so now I have a nice little list on my Links page to click through. ^^ (That said, if anyone doesn't want their link there, just poke me and I'll remove it. It's for my convenience more than anything since I fail at bookmarking. >>)
Like some have said, the real enjoyment many get from journaling IC seems to be just getting into their character's head. Another reason I like it personally is it helps me remember what has happened in RP. Especially when there is a lot going on! I try not to make the journals simply documenting things, of course, as that can feel boring to me, but its still very useful!
But why do we share them? Why not keep them to ourselves? Hmm. I guess I just like the idea that someone could be reading it. Even if they aren't!
Meta gaming is a risk with journaling (as can be a revealing wiki), however it's easy to simply say [wait, you can't know that, we've never talked about it], but I usually trust folks to know not to meta.
