I'll withdraw my post for the sake of not adding any hostility to this thread, as I definitely was not in the best of moods while writing it. However, I'd like to clear some things up.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with being interested in one's own linkshells, and I'm no stranger to how much effort and work has to be put into running them. I understand why people might be less inclined to get involved with the community when they have enough on their plate as it is. In a perfect world, though, it would be nice to see people actually go the extra mile. Not to say that people don't already do that, just not everyone.

However, it's hard to argue that the RPC gets much traffic these days. There's rarely any posts, and what few posts are made as usually between the same few members. The community as a whole doesn't exactly post here anymore, and that's why I was hitting heavily on. This community isn't doing so well, I'm not saying the RP community is as a whole - and perhaps I should have clarified. The amount of discussion and planning that goes on within these boards has all but vanished, and what I'd like to see is life breathed back into these forums. I'm bitter about this one in particular because of seeing first hand how many people just neglect posting - even when directly asked if they wouldn't mind giving their input real quick.

I also was not trying to put anyone into any mold, I was just trying to state what I've observed over the past few months. I've seen people posting, I've tried myself, and I've seen people discussing it in-game, but I've yet to see anyone actively hop on these boards and try to get down to business. I suppose that might account for my "hostility" and "bitterness". I'm just tired of the neglect. Maybe this time will be different, but I'm not holding my breath either way. I suppose I was more apt to voicing my own opinions as I've talked with a few neutral parties in game that feel the same way as I do. It's easier to rant when you're not the only one who feels a certain way. Even more so when you just begin to stop caring.

That being said, I'd like to see people actually get on board with this, but I have a feeling it's just going to bring up a slew of the mess that was the original attempt at doing this. Word on the street is there's still animosity floating around between certain parties from those days, and if the RPC would ever hope to get full participation, those with the issues would have to be willing to address and resolve them.
