In my head, I think it makes it more adorable that this poetry-loving Barracuda taught her partner how to read using love poems.

This raises a good point about literacy in Eorzea. True enough that most would have no formal education, but you really only need one person who can read per village. Then that guy can read aloud to everyone at town meetings and whatnot.Â
I'm thinking this needs to be explored more.
