The seer attempts to summon an astral projection of the demon behind the killings only to have her eyes bleed out instead: Spoiler: show Mercenaries do battle with GIN due to trickery from Vertigo: Spoiler: show Another of Vertigo's trap leads mercenaries into a cave-in after a deadly explosion: Spoiler: show Ekidnah tries to help the mercenaries in the Mavanix investigations just before she gets added to the tally of Mavanix casualities, assassinated by demon Juravis: Spoiler: show Mercs go into the Mavanix Mansion ruins and do battle with Mavanix ghosts seeking to revive themselves: Spoiler: show Kylin gets possessed by one of the Mavanix ghosts and tries to kill the mercs. Joachim Mavanix is vanquished in the end. Kylin meets Gerik here for the first time: Spoiler: show Cartius lives! His lengthy monolouge reveals he's actually a Felstar, not a Mavanix. And he used the mercs as pawns in his revenge against House Mavanix... His mech tries to kill them all but he loses the fight and dies in the ensuing explosion: Spoiler: show "C'mon. Come to the gala. It'll be fun! What's the worse that can happen?" Spoiler: show Full Cold Moon gala, where the worst happens after the prayer session and meteors fall from the sky and causes aether to go chaotic just before Garleans arrive.
