"...I don't suppose there's a way I can get your name...?" Asked Kopo of the mute woman in front of him. Almost an hour had passed since he had sat down at the fire next to her, and he had somehow managed to keep up a small conversation with her, however limited it was by her condition. It was now time for him to take his leave, and only now had it dawned on him that he had not even asked for her name.
The woman nodded in response, taking out a quill and small piece of parchment and, in surprisingly deftly written script considering her gauntlets, writing out the Eorzean runes for "S," "a," "k," "u," "r," "a", followed by a hyphenated version of her name to help with pronunciation. Kokoporo leaned forward and squinted at it.
"S...Sa-ah ku-r...rah....Sak-oo-ra? Oh! Sakura!" Â
The woman smiled softly and nodded as he finally managed to pronounce it. Â "W-well, my name's Kokoporo Apaporo. But, ya can call me Kopo." Sakura nodded, mouthing out the name to help remember it.
"It's nice to meetcha, Sakura."
Sakura nodded in return before giving a polite bow of her head in what was traditional Doman fashion.
Kokoporo gave a courteous bow of his own, before waddling off towards the stairs. "Don't catch no colds now, okay?" Sakura nodded and giggled again to herself as she watched him leave.
In spite of now being exposed to the cold as he pushed open the door of the Forgotten Knight, Kokoporo immediately deadpanned, whatever smile he had disappearing from his face.
"The woman's lack of speech appeared to be the result of a physical ailment. Illness betrayed in her coughing.
He prayed to god they didn't find his new friend, too.
Not before he found them, first.
