I've seen people draw Au Ra with multiple horns even and know some hairstyles give you additional nubbins so I don't quite know how that works with the horn=ear thing. Maybe just built up scales?
Partially the reason for the multiple horns has been from the various little hair styles that have them BUT; it's also in part to the concept art which was quite lovely. But yeah this is about right, it's how I've drawn them as well generally in the vicinity.
